Public Relations
PR dept. of HUM Network is THE most active in-house PR dept. in media/ entertainment industry of Pakistan. The department is responsible for all press, digital and electronic media liaison, providing information about the Network on a daily basis. It also liaises with consulates, show-biz and the fashion world and corporate sector.
HUM Network is the only media house in Pakistan that gets coverage in all major newspapers, business and fashion magazines such as Dawn, Express Tribune, The News, Daily Times, Hello! Pakistan, OK! Pakistan, SHE, Good Times and many others. The Network’s online presence is unprecedented and the Network’s plays receive regular reviews on top social media sites and blogs.
Aiming high
- With its revitalised PR strategies, the PR dept. aims to increase the network’s presence in print and online by 50% in the next two quarters
- PR dept. will establish HUM Network’s image as the strongest entertainment network in the country through its strong media relations in Pakistan and across the globe
- The dept. plans to improve interdepartmental communication
Publication Wing
The publications wing of the PR & Publications dept. started with an in-house newsletter HUMSAY in 2009. The newsletter grew in leaps and bounds until it later became a full-fledged bi-monthly magazine. Since then the publications wing has emerged as a self-sustaining dept. in a short span of time.
After the launch of Masala TV Channel, the publications wing started its first culinary magazine, Masala TV Food Mag, a bi-monthly magazine featuring recipes of Masala chefs. The magazine was later converted into a monthly magazine on readers’ demand. Masala TV Food Mag is Pakistan’s most selling cooking magazine with over 20,000 readerships across Pakistan.
HUM Network started its publications wing with a 4-pg newsletter – HUMSAY – single-handedly taken out by Head Of the Dept. The newsletter grew in leaps and bounds until it later became a full-fledged bi-monthly magazine. In June 2012, HUMSAY was re-launched as a monthly magazine with a new theme and name (G.L.A.M -Acronym for Glamour, Lifestyle, Arts and Media).
Cook Books
The Publication Wing also boasts highly sought after chef books. So far Live @ 9 by Chef Gulzar, Handi by Zubaida Tariq and Masala Mornings by Shireen Anwar have been published.
